Two Norway Spruce Trees Removed Close to Homes in Oshawa

Two mature Norway spruce trees had outgrown the space available to them on an Oshawa residential property. Both stood close to the surrounding houses, so a failure could have serious consequences.
Chris Sarginson identified a high risk of failure towards the nearby homes. With the trees’ size and position in mind, the decision was made to remove both.
Why the two spruce trees needed attention
A large tree close to a house is not necessarily dangerous. Its condition, structure and position all matter, along with what could be damaged if part of it were to fail.
In this case, Chris considered the risk towards the surrounding houses too high. Removing the trees meant working in a developed residential setting, with buildings, driveways and neighbouring property to account for.
A bucket truck for the removal
Sarginson’s Tree Services used a bucket truck for this job. The equipment let the team safely remove two large trees in a space where nearby homes had to be considered.
The project photographs show elevated equipment beside the spruce trunks, ground crew handling cut branches and a wood chipper on site. They also clearly show how close the work was to residential buildings.
An additional removal for the neighbour
During the same visit, the crew also removed a tree for a neighbouring homeowner. This was an additional job, separate from the original two Norway spruce removals.
